Turkens

These chickens, also known as naked necks, have a very unique appearance. They have bare necks, few feathers around the breast, under the wings, and around the vent. Amazingly Turkens stand the cold weather very well. They are layers of brown eggs and are also very good setters. Baby chicks hatch with bare necks and are easily identified. The weight of a mature male is 8.5 lbs and females are 6.5 lbs.
